Haier Holds the Global #1 Home Appliance Spot for the Sixth Year Running
· home-appliances
Haier Smart Home has confirmed its position as the world’s largest home appliance maker for the sixth consecutive year, with 2025 retail revenue of 32.4 billion US dollars across its Haier, Casarte, Leader, GE Appliances, Fisher & Paykel, and Candy brands. The Chinese market contributes the largest single share, but North America and Europe together now represent more than half of total revenue.
Why it matters
Haier reached the global #1 position in 2020, overtaking Whirlpool, and has held it through a combination of M&A (GE Appliances, Candy) and organic growth in emerging markets. The 2025 results suggest the lead is structural, not cyclical: Haier continues to gain share in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, where Western brands have been pulling back.
