Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus launched the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R globally on January 7, 2025. The OnePlus 13 had first debuted in China in October 2024. Its international version shipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, OxygenOS 15, and IP69 dust and water resistance.
What launched
The OnePlus 13 paired Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite platform with a 6,000 mAh battery, 100 W wired charging, 50 W wireless charging, and three 50 MP rear cameras. The OnePlus 13R used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and joined the international R-series lineup as the less expensive model.
China and international versions
The China-market OnePlus 13 used ColorOS, while the international model shipped with OxygenOS 15. Buyers importing a phone should also check mobile bands and regional warranty coverage because software and carrier support can differ even when the hardware name is the same.
Why it matters
The launch moved OnePlus’s 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery into its global flagship line and kept the physical alert slider. It also established the OnePlus 13 as the company’s international flagship for 2025, before the OnePlus 15 replaced it later that year.
