OnePlus 13 International Launch Brings a Larger Battery and an Alert Slider

OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 13 in international markets, four months after the China-only debut. The international version ships with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, and IP69 dust and water resistance. The alert slider remains on the right edge, a feature that OnePlus continues to defend against the industry trend toward software-only volume controls.
Why it matters
OnePlus’s international launch is a useful test of the brand’s carrier relationships in North America and Europe after the 2021 R&D merger with Oppo. The 6,000 mAh battery, in particular, is a meaningful step up from the 5,400 mAh cell in the OnePlus 12, made possible by the higher energy density of silicon-carbon chemistry. The Hasselblad camera partnership continues on the main and ultrawide sensors.
