AnkerWork Launches the B650 4K Webcam with AI Tracking
· peripherals
AnkerWork has launched the B650, a 4K webcam with on-device AI tracking, dual omnidirectional microphones, and a built-in privacy shutter, priced at $199. The B650 is the first AnkerWork webcam to ship with a dedicated AI processor that runs framing and tracking locally rather than in software, which AnkerWork says reduces latency and improves accuracy.
Why it matters
The webcam market has been dominated by Logitech since the pandemic-era shift to remote work, with the Brio and C920 still the default choice for most knowledge workers. AnkerWork has been slowly building credibility in the category with the PowerConf line, and the B650 is the company’s most aggressive play yet at the prosumer end of the market.
What is new
- 4K Sony IMX585 sensor with HDR support, the same sensor used in many mirrorless cameras.
- On-device AI tracking that follows the speaker’s face and reframes the shot without software intervention.
- Dual omnidirectional microphones with beamforming and noise reduction.
- USB-C connectivity with a built-in privacy shutter that physically covers the lens.
The B650 is available now through Amazon, Anker’s online store, and B&H Photo. A version with a wireless transmitter for conference room setups, the B650R, is planned for Q4 2026.
