PITAKA and ESR Push MagSafe-Compatible Phone Accessories into 2026

· accessories

The MagCompatible phone accessory market has been quietly consolidating around two Chinese brands: PITAKA and ESR. Both have released new products in 2026 that lean heavily on the Qi2 wireless charging standard and the MagSafe ecosystem, with aramid fiber cases, magnetic wallets, and wireless chargers at competitive price points.

Why it matters

Apple’s MagSafe ecosystem has become a de facto standard for magnetic phone accessories, with the iPhone’s magnetic ring design now adopted by Google, Samsung, and most other major Android brands. PITAKA and ESR have been the two most aggressive Chinese brands in this category, with PITAKA focused on premium aramid fiber cases and ESR focused on broader accessory ecosystems at lower price points.

What is new

  • PITAKA launched the MagEZ Case 4, an aramid fiber case for the iPhone 17 Pro Max with MagSafe compatibility at $79.
  • ESR released the Geo Wallet, a MagSafe-compatible magnetic wallet with RFID blocking at $39.
  • ESR also brought out the Qi2 3-in-1 Charger, a MagSafe-compatible wireless charger for iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods at $89.

The collective effect is that the MagSafe-compatible phone accessory market now has two strong Chinese brands competing on quality, design, and price. For iPhone and MagSafe-compatible Android users, the value proposition is now strong enough that the “Chinese brand” stigma has largely disappeared in this category.
