Li Auto Crosses 1.5 Million Cumulative Deliveries on the Strength of the L-Series
· automotive
Li Auto has confirmed that it has crossed 1.5 million cumulative deliveries, the first Chinese EV-only startup to do so. The milestone comes on the back of the L-series extended-range SUVs (L7, L8, L9), which make up the bulk of the brand’s volume. The Mega MPV and the upcoming Li i-series pure EVs are designed to extend the brand into new segments.
Why it matters
Li Auto is a useful counterpoint to the BEV-only narrative in Chinese EVs. Its extended-range architecture, which pairs a small gasoline engine with a large battery, has been the volume driver: the cars qualify for new energy vehicle incentives in China and address the range anxiety that still keeps some buyers away from pure EVs. The 1.5 million milestone confirms the model works at scale.
