Hubsan Launches the Zino Mini Pro, a Sub-249g Drone with 4K HDR Video

· drones

Hubsan has launched the Zino Mini Pro, a folding drone that weighs under 249 grams to avoid regulatory registration in most jurisdictions, including the US, EU, and UK. The Zino Mini Pro is the first sub-249g drone from Hubsan with 4K HDR video recording and a 40-minute flight time, positioning it as a credible alternative to the DJI Mini 5 Pro at a $599 price point.

Why it matters

The sub-249g drone category has been dominated by DJI since the original Mavic Mini in 2019. Hubsan, Potensic, and Autel have all tried to break into the segment, but none have matched DJI’s combination of image quality, flight time, and software polish. The Zino Mini Pro is Hubsan’s most credible attempt yet, with specs that match or exceed the DJI Mini 5 Pro on paper.

What is new

  • Sub-249g takeoff weight to avoid FAA Part 107 registration in the US.
  • 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with 4K HDR video at 60fps.
  • 40-minute flight time with the standard Intelligent Flight Battery.
  • 12-kilometer transmission range using Hubsan’s updated SyncLeas 3.0 protocol.

The Zino Mini Pro is available now through Hubsan’s online store and Amazon in the US, with a European launch planned for July 2026. A Fly More Combo with two extra batteries and a carrying case is available for $799.
