Lenovo's investor materials identify the Hong Kong company as the legal parent and list Beijing and Morrisville as key operations centers.

Yes. Lenovo acquired IBM's personal computer business in 2005, bringing the ThinkPad line into its portfolio. In 2014 it completed the acquisition of Motorola Mobility from Google and IBM's x86 server business. ThinkPad and Motorola therefore sit inside Lenovo's wider device business, although each keeps its own product identity.

Lenovo is FIFA's Official Technology Partner for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup. FIFA says Lenovo technology supports tournament devices, data-center infrastructure, broadcast systems, Referee View video stabilization, player avatars for offside replays, and the FIFA AI Pro analysis tool. This is an operational technology partnership, not only a stadium advertising agreement.
